Real Madrid raid Atletico Madrid camp

It’s yet to be confirmed by the respective clubs, but according to the Spanish media on Monday it’s a done deal.

Real Madrid’s summer recruitment drive has already got underway with ASannouncing that Los Blancos have signed a defender from rivals Atletico.

The update comes two days before Real and Atletico face off in the Champions League semifinal second leg. Real won the first leg 3-0 thanks to a Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick.

So what’s the story?

The big news is that 19-year-old French left-back Theo Hernandez has agreed to join Real Madrid.

AS believe that Hernandez has signed a deal with Los Blancos which will keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu for five years. The defender will receive €3.5 million net wages in the first season which will increase progressively each year.

Hernandez, who has spent the season on loan at Alaves, is known t0 have a 24 million euro buy-out clause in his Atleti contract.
